I am a Michigan Native. I was born and raised in Ypsilanti, MI. I went to high school in Fort Wayne, IN my freshman and sophomore year. My junior year was spent out in North-central Washington state. Then, I went back to Fort Wayne for my senior year. After high school, I moved to Minnesota with my family. I spent a couple years at Moorhead State University. After a brief (Not brief when it's 9 years) break from college I went back to school at the University of North Dakota. There, I obtained my B.S. degree in Mathematics and received my teacher certification. I did my student teaching at Warren-Alvarado-Oslo High School. I taught for one year at Lancaster High School. I was then hired to teach Math at SAC starting the 2013-2014 school year. I am currently taking classes to obtain my Masters of Education with math credentialing from Southwest Minnesota State University.
I got married in 2001 to my wonderful wife. I have four children, all who are active in at least three things. In my spare time (Which I don't have) I enjoy sports. I help with coaching sports during the school year, and with other activities during the summer. I like to pretend that I can golf. I am also a volunteer fireman for the Stephen Fire Department.
This site is designed to be a tool for students and parents to get help in Math. Feel free to contact me about questions or concerns. My goal for mathematics as a teacher is not to have kids struggle. It is to remove the stigma that "I can't do Math." Anyone who is willing to put in the effort and work can do Math.
